Bad Lash Job

I had a new client come in last night.  She wasn’t from San Diego but came in for the weekend to visit family and friends.  A couple of days before she went and had a new set of lash extensions applied.  As you can see from the picture above this is what they looked like on the third day. I could see that her skin on the lid of one eye was slightly irritated because the lash tech had accidently dropped some glue there.  My client also noted that during the eyelash extension application her eyes were irritated with a burning sensation and watery due to the fumes of the glue the technician was using and that the eyelash application process lasted 4 hours!

It took me about 1 hour to remove the globs of glue that were attached to her eyelashes, mostly at the root. It was a relief for her to have them removed.. her eyes already started feeling better.  One side ended up being slightly sparser then the other since she lost a few lashes but she was brave enough to try a second attempt and the outcome was much different.  She couldn’t believe the difference and was very happy.  Since she was not from San Diego and leaving the next day I sent her off with the Xtreme Lash website address and instructed her to go to “Find a Professional” in her area.  I see a few people who go somewhere to get a better price and then come to me to fix the lash job they had done and in the end and have to pay double.

With the eyelash extension service still being so new it is important to do your homework and make sure that the eyelash extension professional you go to has enough experience and is also using a good product, especially the glue.  There are alot of brands out there, please do your homework.  Ask your lash technician what brand they use.  Always ask to see before and after pictures of their work and make sure that they are certified and trained by a reputable company like Xtreme Lashes.  You’re better off paying a little more knowing that you are getting a quality eyelash extension job rather then wasting your time and money.
